| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Charles W. Gilchrist of Weatherford was elected the |

| 7 | 8 | | Association on October 16, 2018, and this achievement truly merits |

| 8 | 9 | | special recognition; and |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Established in 1917, NADA is the voice of 16,500 |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | automobile and truck dealerships, representing their interests |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | with automotive manufacturers as well as before Congress, federal |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | agencies, the media, and the general public; the association also |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | conducts research on the retail automobile industry, provides |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | guidance on regulatory matters, offers training programs, and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | operates a charitable foundation; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Charlie Gilchrist is president of Gilchrist |

| 17 | 18 | | Automotive, which began with a single location in 1986 and today |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | includes dealerships across the Dallas/Fort Worth area; he |

| 19 | 20 | | represents the franchised new-car dealers of Northern Texas on the |

| 20 | 21 | | NADA board of directors, and he has further contributed his time and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | expertise as the board's 2018 vice chair; and |

| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, A graduate of The University of Texas with a |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | bachelor's degree in accounting, Mr. Gilchrist has served on the |

| 24 | 25 | | boards of the Texas Automobile Dealers Association, Texas Bank, the |

| 25 | 26 | | Weatherford College Foundation, the East Parker County Chamber of |

| 26 | 27 | | Commerce, the Weatherford High School Foundation, and the |

| 27 | 28 | | Weatherford Chamber of Commerce, which named him James Doss Citizen |

| 28 | 29 | | of the Year in 2005; he is also an eight-time recipient of the |

| 29 | 30 | | President's Award from the Ford Motor Company; and |

| 30 | 31 | | WHEREAS, Charlie Gilchrist's leadership and business acumen |

| 31 | 32 | | have earned him the respect and admiration of his professional |

| 32 | 33 | | peers, and he may indeed reflect with pride on all that he has |

| 33 | 34 | | accomplished as he takes on the challenges and opportunities of his |
