| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Joe Degollado retired from the Webb County Sheriff's |

| 6 | 7 | | Office on December 31, 2018, drawing to a close a notable career in |

| 7 | 8 | | law enforcement that has spanned nearly four and a half decades; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Over the course of his 44 years in law enforcement, |

| 9 | 10 | | Mr. Degollado demonstrated an impressive dedication to the highest |

| 10 | 11 | | standards of his profession and a tireless commitment to protecting |

| 11 | 12 | | the lives and property of the citizens he so ably served, and along |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | the way, he earned the lasting respect and admiration of his fellow |

| 13 | 14 | | officers; and |

| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, In retirement, Mr. Degollado plans to spend more |

| 15 | 16 | | time with his four grandchildren, and he also looks forward to |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | cooking out and watching sports with his family and friends; and |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Degollado's expertise, professionalism, and |

| 18 | 19 | | devotion to duty have greatly benefited the citizens of Webb |

| 19 | 20 | | County, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a career well spent |

| 20 | 21 | | as he embarks upon the next exciting chapter of his life; now, |
