| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Robin L. Sedlacek is concluding her tenure on the |

| 6 | 7 | | Allen City Council in 2019, and the contributions made by this |

| 7 | 8 | | esteemed public servant are indeed deserving of recognition; and |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, First elected to represent Place 4 on the city |

| 9 | 10 | | council in 2007, Ms. Sedlacek won reelection to that office in |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | 2010, 2013, and 2016; during her 12 years on the council, she has |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | served as the liaison to the Allen Animal Shelter and as a member of |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | the Finance/Audit, Nominating, Public Art, and Convention and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Visitors Bureau Committees; she has also been active with the Allen |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Community Outreach advisory board; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Before joining the city council, Ms. Sedlacek gave |

| 16 | 17 | | back to the Allen community through her involvement with the |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | Capital Improvement Steering Committee, the Community Development |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | Corporation, and the Planning and Zoning Commission; and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, A certified public accountant, Ms. Sedlacek has an |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | accounting degree from Western Iowa Tech Community College; in all |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | her endeavors, she enjoys the love and support of her husband, |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | Steve, and she takes great pride in their two sons, Derek and Bubba, |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | and three grandsons; and |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Through her leadership and expertise, Robin |

| 25 | 26 | | Sedlacek has made a lasting difference in the Allen community, and |

| 26 | 27 | | she may indeed reflect with pride on her exceptional record of |

| 27 | 28 | | achievement; now, therefore, be it |

| 28 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |

| 29 | 30 | | Legislature hereby commend Robin L. Sedlacek for her service on the |

| 30 | 31 | | Allen City Council and extend to her sincere best wishes for the |
