| 6 | 7 | | of Henrietta M. Haessly of Spring, who passed away on December 3, |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Marek, the |

| 9 | 10 | | former Henrietta Marek was born in Granger on February 13, 1938, and |

| 10 | 11 | | she grew up on the family farm with six siblings, Alvin, Victor, |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | Irene, Margaret, Dennis, and Carolyn; after graduating as |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | valedictorian of the Granger High School Class of 1955, she |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | attended The University of Texas, and she went on to embark on a |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | career in the banking industry, becoming the assistant trust |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | officer of Republic National Bank in Dallas in 1965; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, She was joined in matrimony to John Haessly in 1967, |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | and the couple shared a rewarding marriage that spanned 51 years; |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | Mrs. Haessly took great pride in her four children and their |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | spouses, Thomas Haessly and his wife, Paty, Andrea Haessly, Tanya |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | Hamlin and her husband, Mathew, and Robert Haessly, and she was a |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | doting grandmother to Greyson and Everett Hamlin; and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Active in the Republican Party for many years, |

| 23 | 24 | | Mrs. Haessly served as a delegate for George W. Bush at the |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | Republican National Convention in New York in 2004; she was also a |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | longtime member of the Texas Tea Party Republican Women and other |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | Republican organizations, where her effervescent personality |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | attracted many new members; for more than two decades, she and her |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | husband worked together to fulfill the duties of Republican |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | precinct chair and election judge for Precinct No. 552 in Spring; |
|---|
| 30 | 31 | | in all her endeavors, Mrs. Haessly was sustained by her strong |

| 31 | 32 | | Catholic faith; and |

| 32 | 33 | | WHEREAS, Admired for her warm and generous nature, Henrietta |

| 33 | 34 | | Haessly lived a rich and purposeful life devoted to her family, her |

| 34 | 35 | | community, and her political ideals, and she leaves behind a legacy |

| 35 | 36 | | that will continue to inspire those who had the good fortune to know |
