| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The Bridging the Dream Scholarship recognizes high |

| 9 | 10 | | school juniors and seniors who have excelled both inside and |

| 10 | 11 | | outside the classroom while also exhibiting strength and |

| 11 | 12 | | perseverance in the face of great challenges; and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, A senior at Westbury High, Ms. Duplechain is in the |

| 13 | 14 | | top five percent of her class with a GPA of 3.95; in addition to |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | taking Advanced Placement and dual-credit courses, she is a member |

| 15 | 16 | | of the National Honor Society, and she participates in cheerleading |

| 16 | 17 | | and track and field; following her graduation in May, she will |

| 17 | 18 | | become the first in her family to attend college, and she plans to |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, A truly fitting recipient of this honor, Essence |
