| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Established in 2003, the President's Volunteer |

| 9 | 10 | | Service Award recognizes Americans of all ages who have given |

| 10 | 11 | | generously of their time and talents to enhance their communities; |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | recipients of the prestigious accolade must perform the required |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | amount of service hours over the course of a year; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, American Heritage Girls is a faith-based |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | organization that seeks to develop character and leadership skills |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | among girls; in keeping with the group's emphasis on service, |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | members of Troop TX3170 have benefited their fellow citizens by |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | taking part in a number of activities, including making meals for |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | those in need, collecting canned goods, caroling at a nursing home, |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | marching in the Frisco Community Parade, and participating in |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | Wreaths Across America; and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, In recognition of their outstanding efforts, the |

| 22 | 23 | | President's Volunteer Service Award was deservedly presented to |

| 23 | 24 | | troop members Kate and Keira Baesel, Melanie Bell, Macey Clark, |

| 24 | 25 | | Claire and Cora Gordon, and Charleigh and Katie Rhodes; and |

| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, These accomplished young Texans have demonstrated |

| 26 | 27 | | remarkable initiative and dedication, and they are a source of |
