| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Villegas has provided |

| 10 | 11 | | such as corresponding with constituents, meeting with advocacy |

| 11 | 12 | | groups, and creating bill books and filing hearing requests; in |

| 12 | 13 | | addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |

| 13 | 14 | | service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Eliseo and Alexandra Villegas, |

| 16 | 17 | | Ms. Villegas is a pre-law student at The University of Texas at |

| 17 | 18 | | Austin, where she is studying human development and family |

| 18 | 19 | | sciences; moreover, she has served as a research assistant for |

| 19 | 20 | | Project SEED and as a member of the Sanger Learning Center Student |

| 20 | 21 | | Advisory Board, and she has also held leadership roles with |

| 21 | 22 | | Minority Women Pursuing Law and the LeaderShape Institute; and |

| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |

| 23 | 24 | | duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is |

| 24 | 25 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
