| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Pastor Wright assumed the pulpit at People's |

| 10 | 11 | | Missionary Baptist Church from his father, the late Reverend |

| 11 | 12 | | Sylvester Wright Sr., who led the house of worship from 1957 until |

| 12 | 13 | | his passing in 1994; since 1995, the younger Pastor Wright has |

| 13 | 14 | | devoted himself to advancing the church's mission and guiding its |

| 14 | 15 | | congregation, which today numbers more than 2,000 members; and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, This esteemed clergyman has further benefited his |

| 16 | 17 | | community as cofounder and president of the S. M. Wright |

| 17 | 18 | | Foundation; established in 1998, the nonprofit organization seeks |

| 18 | 19 | | to support children and families in need in the Dallas/Fort Worth |

| 19 | 20 | | area; to that end, it provides assistance through hunger relief, |

| 20 | 21 | | education, health and social services, and economic empowerment, |

| 21 | 22 | | and it also sponsors a host of noteworthy events, including the |

| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Through his far-reaching spiritual and civic |

| 24 | 25 | | endeavors, Pastor S. M. Wright II has made a lasting and positive |

| 25 | 26 | | difference in many lives, and the occasion of his 24th pastoral |
