| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Jeff Brown of the Era Volunteer Fire Department was |

| 7 | 8 | | Commissioners Court at a ceremony on January 22, 2018; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, During an exemplary tenure with the Era VFD, |

| 9 | 10 | | Mr. Brown has distinguished himself through his expertise and |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | positive attitude, earning the respect and admiration of his fellow |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | first responders; and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, In addition to his service as a firefighter, |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Mr. Brown is employed by the construction contracting firm Humphrey |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | and Associates; he plays a prominent role in the local community by |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | serving on the boards of the Era Water Department and the Era |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Independent School District, and he is a valued member of the Era |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | Church of Christ; in all his endeavors, he enjoys the support and |

| 18 | 19 | | encouragement of his wife, Laci, and he takes great pride in their |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | two daughters; and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Jeff Brown has demonstrated uncommon dedication, |

| 21 | 22 | | skill, and bravery as he has worked to protect the lives and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | property of area citizens, and he is truly deserving of special |

| 23 | 24 | | recognition; now, therefore, be it |

| 24 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
