118 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
12- SECTION 1. Chapter 4, Election Code, is amended by adding
13- Section 4.009 to read as follows:
14- Sec. 4.009. INTERNET POSTING. (a) Not later than the 21st
15- day before election day, a county that holds or provides election
16- services for an election and maintains an Internet website shall
17- post on its public Internet website for an election administered by
18- the county:
19- (1) the date of the election;
20- (2) the location of each polling place;
21- (3) each candidate for an elected office on the
22- ballot; and
23- (4) each measure on the ballot.
24- (b) Not later than the 21st day before election day, a city
25- or independent school district that holds an election and maintains
26- an Internet website shall post on the public Internet website for
27- the city or independent school district, as applicable:
28- (1) the date of the next election;
29- (2) the location of each polling place;
30- (3) each candidate for an elected office on the
31- ballot; and
32- (4) each measure on the ballot.
33- SECTION 2. Subchapter A, Chapter 65, Election Code, is

76- SECTION 3. The changes in law made by this Act apply only to
77- an election ordered on or after the effective date of this Act. An
78- election ordered before the effective date of this Act is governed
79- by the law in effect when the election was ordered, and the former
80- law is continued in effect for that purpose.
81- SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
