| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 92, Property Code, is | |
| 11 | 11 | amended by adding Section 92.0132 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 92.0132. TERM OF PARKING PERMIT. A landlord who issues | |
| 13 | 13 | a parking permit to a tenant: | |
| 14 | 14 | (1) must issue the permit for a term that is | |
| 15 | 15 | coterminous with the tenant's lease term; and | |
| 16 | 16 | (2) may not terminate or suspend the permit until the | |
| 17 | 17 | date the tenant's lease terminates. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. Section 92.0132, Property Code, as added by this | |
| 19 | 19 | Act, applies to a parking permit issued on or after the effective | |
| 20 | 20 | date of this Act. | |
| 21 | 21 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
