98 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
109 SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 6, Tax Code, is amended by
1110 adding Section 6.054 to read as follows:
1211 Sec. 6.054. RESTRICTION ON EMPLOYMENT AS CHIEF APPRAISER.
1312 A person may not be employed as the chief appraiser for an appraisal
1413 district if the person is an elected or appointed officer of a
1514 taxing unit located wholly or partly in the appraisal district.
1615 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect January 1, 2020.
