| 7 | 9 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 8 | 10 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 6, Water Code, is amended |

| 9 | 11 | | by adding Section 6.0601 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 10 | 12 | | Sec. 6.0601. CONSULTATION REGARDING CERTAIN FINANCIAL |
|---|
| 11 | 13 | | MATTERS; CLOSED MEETING. (a) The board may hold a closed meeting |
|---|
| 12 | 14 | | to consider and discuss financial matters related to the investment |
|---|
| 13 | 15 | | or potential investment of the board's funds. |
|---|
| 14 | 16 | | (b) A final action, decision, or vote on a matter considered |
|---|
| 15 | 17 | | or discussed in a closed meeting held under this section must be |
|---|
| 16 | 18 | | made in an open meeting conducted in compliance with the notice |
|---|
| 17 | 19 | | provisions of Chapter 551, Government Code. |

| 18 | 20 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
