8 | 8 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

9 | 9 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 42, Human Resources Code, |
---|
10 | 10 | | is amended by adding Section 42.027 to read as follows: |

11 | 11 | | SEC. 42.027. EMPLOYEE DATABASE. (a) The commission shall |
---|
12 | 12 | | develop and maintain on the commission's Internet website a |
---|
13 | 13 | | searchable database that is publicly accessible and includes the |
---|
14 | 14 | | name of each employee of a child-care facility or registered family |
---|
15 | 15 | | home: |
---|
16 | 16 | | (1) whom the commission has determined to be |
---|
17 | 17 | | responsible for a violation of the minimum standards that leads to |
---|
18 | 18 | | injury or death, or an unsafe environment that could lead to an |
---|
19 | 19 | | injury or death, or any facility, including a family home, |
---|
20 | 20 | | regulated by the commission; or |
---|
21 | 21 | | (2) who has had a license, registration, or other |
---|
22 | 22 | | occupational authorization revoked by a state agency. |
---|
23 | 23 | | (b) The commission shall collaborate with other appropriate |
---|
24 | 24 | | state agencies to determine the most efficient method for |
---|
25 | 25 | | identifying child-care facility or registered family home |
---|
26 | 26 | | employees who have had a license, registration, or other |
---|
27 | 27 | | occupational authorization revoked by a state agency. |
---|
28 | 28 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
