57 relating to training by the Texas Department of Transportation on

810 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
911 SECTION 1. Subchapter F, Chapter 201, Transportation Code,
1012 is amended by adding Section 201.407 to read as follows:
1113 Sec. 201.407. TRAINING ON SMUGGLING AND TRAFFICKING OF
1214 PERSONS. (a) The department shall develop and make available to
1315 employees of the department a training course on the recognition
1416 and prevention of smuggling and trafficking of persons.
1517 (b) The department, in collaboration with the office of the
1618 attorney general, shall establish the content of the training
1719 developed under Subsection (a).
1820 (c) On the date an employee begins employment with the
1921 department, the department shall provide notice to the employee of
2022 the availability of the training developed under Subsection (a).
2123 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
