9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
10 | 10 | SECTION 1. The following provisions of the Occupations Code | |
11 | 11 | are repealed: | |
12 | 12 | (1) Sections 605.002(19), (20), and (21); and | |
13 | 13 | (2) Section 605.259. | |
14 | 14 | SECTION 2. (a) On the effective date of this Act, a | |
15 | 15 | registered orthotic technician or registered prosthetic technician | |
16 | 16 | certificate issued under former Section 605.259, Occupations Code, | |
17 | 17 | expires. | |
18 | 18 | (b) As soon as practicable after the effective date of this | |
19 | 19 | Act, the Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation shall repeal | |
20 | 20 | all rules regarding the regulation of orthotic and prosthetic | |
21 | 21 | technicians adopted under Chapter 605, Occupations Code. | |
22 | 22 | SECTION 3. The change in law made by this Act does not | |
23 | 23 | affect the validity of a proceeding pending before a court or other | |
24 | 24 | governmental entity on the effective date of this Act. | |
25 | 25 | SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
