66 AN ACT
77 relating to the removal of the seal and duplicative sanction
88 provisions for dietitians.
99 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1010 SECTION 1. Section 701.151(b), Occupations Code, is amended
1111 to read as follows:
1212 (b) The commission or the department, as appropriate,
1313 shall:
1414 (1) [adopt an official seal;
1515 [(2)] adopt and publish a code of ethics;
1616 (2) [(3)] establish the qualifications and fitness of
1717 applicants for licenses, including renewed and reciprocal
1818 licenses;
1919 [(4) revoke, suspend, or deny a license, probate a
2020 license suspension, or reprimand a license holder for a violation
2121 of this chapter, a rule adopted under this chapter, or the code of
2222 ethics;] and
2323 (3) [(5)] request and receive any necessary
2424 assistance from state educational institutions or other state
2525 agencies.
2626 SECTION 2. Sections 701.155 and 701.353, Occupations Code,
2727 are repealed.
2828 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
