49 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
510 AN ACT
611 relating to the dissolution of a non-profit direct-support
712 organization.
813 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
914 SECTION 1. Section 54.633, Education Code, is amended by
1015 adding Subsection (n) to read as follows:
1116 (n) If the comptroller determines that the purpose of a
1217 direct-support organization established under Subsection (e) has
1318 been substantially complied with, the comptroller may dissolve the
1419 organization. On dissolution, the title to all funds and
1520 properties then owned by the organization shall transfer to the
1621 Texas Match the Promise Foundation.
1722 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
