A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to parole officer participation in a hearing concerning a
person's alleged violation of a condition of parole or mandatory
supervision.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 508.281, Government Code, is amended by
adding Subsection (g) to read as follows:
(g) The parole officer supervising a releasee for whom a
hearing is held under this section may appear and testify at the
hearing through the use of video conference technology.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
