| 7 | 9 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 8 | 10 | | SECTION 1. Section 504.3161, Transportation Code, is |

| 9 | 11 | | amended to read as follows: |

| 10 | 12 | | Sec. 504.3161. MILITARY SPECIALTY LICENSE PLATES FOR |

| 11 | 13 | | RECIPIENTS OF CERTAIN MILITARY CAMPAIGN AND SERVICE AWARDS. The |

| 12 | 14 | | department shall issue specialty license plates for recipients of |
|---|
| 13 | 15 | | the following military awards that include the name of the award: |

| 14 | 16 | | (1) the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal; |
|---|
| 15 | 17 | | (2) the Armed Forces Service Medal; |
|---|
| 16 | 18 | | (3) the Navy Expeditionary Medal; |
|---|
| 17 | 19 | | (4) the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; |
|---|
| 18 | 20 | | (5) the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; |
|---|
| 19 | 21 | | (6) the Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal; |
|---|
| 20 | 22 | | (7) the Merchant Marine Expeditionary Medal; |
|---|
| 21 | 23 | | (8) the Kosovo Campaign Medal; [and] |
|---|
| 22 | 24 | | (9) the Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal; and |
|---|
| 23 | 25 | | (10) the Nuclear Deterrence Operations Service Medal. |

| 24 | 26 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
