66 AN ACT
77 relating to emergency contact and medical information maintained by
88 the Department of Public Safety.
99 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1010 SECTION 1. Section 521.060(e), Transportation Code, is
1111 amended to read as follows:
1212 (e) The forms and procedures established and maintained
1313 under Subsection (d) must:
1414 (1) comply with Subsection (c); and
1515 (2) allow the holder of a driver's license or personal
1616 identification certificate or an authorized agent of the holder to
1717 add, amend, or delete information described by Subsection (d) by
1818 submitting an electronic form on the department's Internet website.
1919 SECTION 2. Not later than January 1, 2020, the Department of
2020 Public Safety of the State of Texas shall produce and make available
2121 on the department's Internet website an electronic form in
2222 accordance with Section 521.060(e), Transportation Code, as
2323 amended by this Act.
2424 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
