9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 521.060(e), Transportation Code, is | |
11 | 11 | amended to read as follows: | |
12 | 12 | (e) The forms and procedures established and maintained | |
13 | 13 | under Subsection (d) must: | |
14 | 14 | (1) comply with Subsection (c); and | |
15 | 15 | (2) allow the holder of a driver's license or personal | |
16 | 16 | identification certificate or an authorized agent of the holder to | |
17 | 17 | add, amend, or delete information described by Subsection (d) by | |
18 | 18 | submitting an electronic form on the department's Internet website. | |
19 | 19 | SECTION 2. Not later than January 1, 2020, the Department of | |
20 | 20 | Public Safety of the State of Texas shall produce and make available | |
21 | 21 | on the department's Internet website an electronic form in | |
22 | 22 | accordance with Section 521.060(e), Transportation Code, as | |
23 | 23 | amended by this Act. | |
24 | 24 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
