77 relating to daylight saving time.
88 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
99 SECTION 1. Section 312.016, Government Code, is amended by
1010 adding Subsection (d) to read as follows:
1111 (d) The state, acting under the exemption provisions of
1212 Section 3(a), Uniform Time Act of 1966 (15 U.S.C. Section 260a(a)),
1313 is exempt from the provisions of that law that establish daylight
1414 saving time. The exemption provided by this subsection applies to
1515 both the portion of the state using central standard time as the
1616 official standard time and the portion of the state using mountain
1717 standard time as the official standard time.
1818 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect November 4, 2019, to
1919 coincide with the end of daylight saving time for 2019.
