57 relating to the issuance of pediatric cancer research specialty

79 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
810 SECTION 1. Subchapter G, Chapter 504, Transportation Code,
911 is amended by adding Section 504.6551 to read as follows:
1012 Sec. 504.6551. PEDIATRIC CANCER RESEARCH LICENSE PLATES.
1113 (a) The department shall issue specialty license plates that
1214 include the words "Kids Shouldn't Have Cancer." The department
1315 shall design the plates in consultation with the Kids Shouldn't
1416 Have Cancer Foundation.
1517 (b) After deduction of the department's administrative
1618 costs, the remainder of the fee for issuance of the license plates
1719 shall be deposited to the credit of the cancer prevention and
1820 research fund established by Section 102.201, Health and Safety
1921 Code. Money deposited to that account may be used only to fund
2022 pediatric cancer research.
2123 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
