| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 109, Alcoholic Beverage | |
| 11 | 11 | Code, is amended by adding Section 109.541 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 109.541. TASTINGS AT CERTAIN FESTIVALS AND CIVIC | |
| 13 | 13 | CELEBRATIONS. A person who holds a license or permit to manufacture | |
| 14 | 14 | alcoholic beverages in this state may conduct product tastings | |
| 15 | 15 | without the issuance of another license or permit under this code if | |
| 16 | 16 | those tastings are conducted: | |
| 17 | 17 | (1) as part of and under the direction of the "Go | |
| 18 | 18 | Texan" Partner Program under Chapter 46, Agriculture Code; and | |
| 19 | 19 | (2) during a festival or civic celebration that: | |
| 20 | 20 | (A) has been held near-annually for at least 100 | |
| 21 | 21 | years; and | |
| 22 | 22 | (B) is at least 21 days long. | |
| 23 | 23 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
