46 AN ACT
57 relating to the collection of certain judgments through court

79 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
810 SECTION 1. Section 31.002(a), Civil Practice and Remedies
911 Code, is amended to read as follows:
1012 (a) A judgment creditor is entitled to aid from a court of
1113 appropriate jurisdiction, including a justice court, through
1214 injunction or other means in order to reach property to obtain
1315 satisfaction on the judgment if the judgment debtor owns property,
1416 including present or future rights to property, that is not exempt
1517 from attachment, execution, or seizure for the satisfaction of
1618 liabilities.
1719 SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies to the
1820 collection of any judgment, regardless of whether the judgment was
1921 entered before, on, or after the effective date of this Act.
2022 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
