4	6		AN ACT
5	7		relating to the collection of certain judgments through court
6	8		proceeding.
7	9		BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
8	10		SECTION 1. Section 31.002(a), Civil Practice and Remedies
9	11		Code, is amended to read as follows:
10	12		(a) A judgment creditor is entitled to aid from a court of
11	13		appropriate jurisdiction, including a justice court, through
12	14		injunction or other means in order to reach property to obtain
13	15		satisfaction on the judgment if the judgment debtor owns property,
14	16		including present or future rights to property, that is not exempt
15	17		from attachment, execution, or seizure for the satisfaction of
16	18		liabilities.
17	19		SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies to the
18	20		collection of any judgment, regardless of whether the judgment was
19	21		entered before, on, or after the effective date of this Act.
20	22		SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
