| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 911.301(a), Insurance Code, is amended | |
| 11 | 11 | to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (a) In this section, "rural property" means property | |
| 13 | 13 | located in: | |
| 14 | 14 | (1) [outside an area of land subject to the taxing | |
| 15 | 15 | authority of] a municipality with a population of 50,000 or less; | |
| 16 | 16 | (2) an area that is not designated as urbanized by the | |
| 17 | 17 | United States Bureau of the Census; or | |
| 18 | 18 | (3) an unincorporated area of a county [more than | |
| 19 | 19 | 2,500]. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
