46 AN ACT
57 relating to the deadline for certain economic development
68 corporations to file a certain report with the comptroller.
79 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
810 SECTION 1. Section 502.151(a), Local Government Code, is
911 amended to read as follows:
1012 (a) Not later than April [February] 1 of each year, the
1113 board of directors of a corporation shall submit a report to the
1214 comptroller that includes:
1315 (1) a statement of:
1416 (A) the corporation's primary economic
1517 development objectives;
1618 (B) the corporation's total revenue during the
1719 preceding fiscal year;
1820 (C) the corporation's total expenditures during
1921 the preceding fiscal year; and
2022 (D) the corporation's total expenditures during
2123 the preceding fiscal year in each of the following categories:
2224 (i) administration;
2325 (ii) personnel;
2426 (iii) marketing or promotion;
2527 (iv) direct business incentives;
2628 (v) job training;
2729 (vi) debt service;
2830 (vii) capital costs;
2931 (viii) affordable housing; and
3032 (ix) payments to taxing units, including
3133 school districts;
3234 (2) a list of the corporation's capital assets,
3335 including land and buildings; and
3436 (3) any other information the comptroller requires to
3537 determine the use of the sales and use tax imposed under Chapter 504
3638 or 505 to encourage economic development in this state.
3739 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
