| 9 | 11 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 10 | 12 | | SECTION 1. Section 33.009, Education Code, is amended by |

| 11 | 13 | | adding Subsection (d-1) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 12 | 14 | | (d-1) An academy developed under this section may include |
|---|
| 13 | 15 | | information regarding social-emotional learning and indicators of |
|---|
| 14 | 16 | | behavioral issues. |
|---|
| 15 | 17 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 16 | 18 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 17 | 19 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 18 | 20 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 19 | 21 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
