| 7 | 7 | | relating to the duration of a bingo occasion. |

| 8 | 8 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 9 | 9 | | SECTION 1. Section 2001.103(b), Occupations Code, is |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | (b) A temporary license is valid for six [four] hours during |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | any one day. |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | SECTION 2. Section 2001.419(b), Occupations Code, is |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | (b) A bingo occasion may not exceed six [four] hours. |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | SECTION 3. The changes in law made by this Act apply to a |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | bingo occasion conducted under a license issued under Chapter 2001, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Occupations Code, before, on, or after the effective date of this |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Act. The holder of an unused temporary license issued before the |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | effective date of this Act may submit to the Texas Lottery |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Commission, in the manner required by the commission, a license |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | amendment or a notification that provides the specific date and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | time of the bingo occasion for which the temporary license will be |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | used, and the commission may adopt the rules and procedures |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | necessary to accomplish that purpose. |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | SECTION 4. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
