13 | 13 | MUNICIPALITIES AND COUNTIES] | |
14 | 14 | SECTION 2. Chapter 250, Local Government Code, is amended | |
15 | 15 | by adding Section 250.009 to read as follows: | |
16 | 16 | Sec. 250.009. CERTAIN SALES OF BEVERAGES BY CHILDREN. | |
17 | 17 | Notwithstanding any other law, a municipality, county, or other | |
18 | 18 | local public health authority may not adopt or enforce an | |
19 | 19 | ordinance, order, or rule that prohibits an individual younger than | |
20 | 20 | 18 years of age from temporarily selling lemonade or other | |
21 | 21 | nonalcoholic beverages from a stand on private property. | |
22 | 22 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
