| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 372.053(a), Transportation Code, is | |
| 11 | 11 | amended to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (a) A toll project entity: | |
| 13 | 13 | (1) may establish a discount program for electronic | |
| 14 | 14 | toll collection customers that includes[. The program must | |
| 15 | 15 | include] free or discounted use of the entity's toll project by an | |
| 16 | 16 | electronic toll collection customer whose account relates to a | |
| 17 | 17 | vehicle registered under Section [504.202 or] 504.315(f) or (g); | |
| 18 | 18 | and | |
| 19 | 19 | (2) shall establish a waiver program for electronic | |
| 20 | 20 | toll collection customers that includes free use of the entity's | |
| 21 | 21 | toll project by an electronic toll collection customer whose | |
| 22 | 22 | account relates to a vehicle registered under Section 504.202. | |
| 23 | 23 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
