| 9 | 9 | SECTION 1. Section 2302.101, Occupations Code, is amended | |
| 10 | 10 | to read as follows: | |
| 11 | 11 | Sec. 2302.101. LICENSE REQUIRED FOR SALVAGE VEHICLE DEALER. | |
| 12 | 12 | Unless a person holds a salvage vehicle dealer license issued under | |
| 13 | 13 | this chapter or an independent motor vehicle dealer's general | |
| 14 | 14 | distinguishing number issued under Chapter 503, Transportation | |
| 15 | 15 | Code, the person may not: | |
| 16 | 16 | (1) act as a salvage vehicle dealer or rebuilder; or | |
| 17 | 17 | (2) store or display a motor vehicle as an agent or | |
| 18 | 18 | escrow agent of an insurance company. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
