| 8 | 13 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 9 | 14 | | SECTION 1. Section 85.062, Election Code, is amended by |
|---|
| 10 | 15 | | adding Subsection (c-1) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 11 | 16 | | (c-1) In a county with a population of 100,000 or more, the |
|---|
| 12 | 17 | | location of a movable temporary branch polling place established |
|---|
| 13 | 18 | | under this section may be changed only: |
|---|
| 14 | 19 | | (1) once during the early voting period; and |
|---|
| 15 | 20 | | (2) after at least half of the early voting period has |
|---|
| 16 | 21 | | concluded. |

| 17 | 22 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 18 | 23 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 19 | 24 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 20 | 25 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 21 | 26 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
