1	1	SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 130
2	2	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
3	3	recognize the Cuero High School Gobblers football team, which
4	4	recently won the Class 4A Division II state championship title; and
5	5	WHEREAS, The Gobblers were victorious in their first
6	6	appearance at the state finals since 2004, defeating the Pleasant
7	7	Grove Hawks by a score of 40-28 before a crowd of 12,784 at the
8	8	AT&T Stadium in Arlington; and
9	9	WHEREAS, These young athletes have demonstrated great
10	10	talent and perseverance throughout the school year, and team
11	11	members can take pride in their outstanding performance; and
12	12	WHEREAS, Under the superior leadership and expertise of
13	13	head coach Travis Reeve, the Gobblers have developed exceptional
14	14	teamwork and discipline; and
15	15	WHEREAS, Cuero High School and the City of Cuero are proud
16	16	of the Gobblers for their hard work, their impressive skills, and
17	17	their fine sportsmanship; now, therefore, be it
18	18	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th
19	19	Legislature, hereby commend the Cuero High School Gobblers
20	20	football team on winning the Class 4A Division II state
21	21	championship; and, be it further
22	22	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
23	23	the team as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
