| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Glenyss Lynelle Longstreet, who is retiring from the |

| 4 | 4 | | Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts on February 28, |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | 2019, after more than 27 years of loyal state service; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Glenyss Longstreet began her career with the |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | comptroller's office in 1992 as a receptionist in the Information |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Technology Division, and she was promoted to the position of |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | administrative technician the following year; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, In 1997, she transferred to the Innovation and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Technology Division, where she worked as a desktop services |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | technician, and in 2013, she was again promoted and took on the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | duties of coordinating telecom and updating telecommunication |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | directories for the comptroller's state offices; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, A talented and resourceful individual, Glenyss is |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | known for her strong organizational skills and her ability to |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | work with customers, and she has consistently demonstrated |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | patience and determination when facing complex and difficult |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | tasks; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Glenyss Longstreet has served with distinction |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | under four Texas comptrollers; she is respected and admired by |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | her colleagues, and her presence at the Office of the Comptroller |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature, hereby commend Glenyss Lynelle Longstreet on her |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | exceptional career and her many contributions to the state and |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | extend to her best wishes in all her future endeavors; and, be |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | it further |

| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
