SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 188
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize the 2019 Texas Birthday Bash, which is taking place
March 1 and 2 in Navasota; and
WHEREAS, This exemplary event celebrates the signing of
the Texas Declaration of Independence, which took place seven
miles from Navasota on March 2, 1836, in
Washington-on-the-Brazos; and
WHEREAS, The Texas Birthday Bash will celebrate Texas
Independence Day with a wide range of family-friendly activities
in historic downtown Navasota; the event will feature music and
great food; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
86th Legislature, hereby commend the citizens of Navasota for
celebrating the rich history of our state and extend to them best
wishes for an enjoyable 2019 Texas Birthday Bash; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in
honor of this special occasion.
