| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, This exemplary event celebrates the signing of |

| 6 | 6 | | the Texas Declaration of Independence, which took place seven |

| 7 | 7 | | miles from Navasota on March 2, 1836, in |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Washington-on-the-Brazos; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The Texas Birthday Bash will celebrate Texas |

| 10 | 10 | | Independence Day with a wide range of family-friendly activities |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | in historic downtown Navasota; the event will feature music and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | great food; now, therefore, be it |

| 13 | 13 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, |

| 14 | 14 | | 86th Legislature, hereby commend the citizens of Navasota for |

| 15 | 15 | | celebrating the rich history of our state and extend to them best |
