| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, When they married many years ago, Reb and Nancy |

| 3 | 3 | | Bacchus placed great faith and trust in one another, and they |

| 4 | 4 | | have been amply rewarded, as they recently celebrated their 50th |

| 5 | 5 | | wedding anniversary; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Reb and Nancy Bacchus were married in the First |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Methodist Church in Houston on January 25, 1969; the world has |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | changed considerably during the years of their marriage, yet |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Mr. and Mrs. Bacchus have continued to cherish traditional |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | family values; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Bacchus enjoyed a fulfilling career in the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | computer technology industry, and Mrs. Bacchus served for many |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | years as a teacher in the Georgetown Independent School |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | District; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, They have been blessed with a wonderful family; |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | their children, Rob and Elaine, have been a source of much pride |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | and joy for them; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Over the years, Mr. and Mrs. Bacchus have grown |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | stronger in their love and devotion as together they have |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | experienced the joys and sorrows of everyday living; their long |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | and happy union is truly an inspiration to others; now, |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | therefore, be it |

| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to Reb and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Nancy Bacchus on their 50th wedding anniversary; and, be it further |

| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |

| 27 | 27 | | this distinguished couple as a memento of this milestone in their |
