| 4 | 4 | | been named the 2019 Global Airport of the Year by Air Transport |

| 5 | 5 | | World; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, For 45 years, the ATW Airline Industry |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Achievement Awards have recognized businesses and individuals |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | for excellence in the aviation industry; this year, DFW |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | International Airport is being honored as the best large airport |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | in North America for passenger satisfaction; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, The DFW International Airport has distinguished |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | itself as a world-class industry leader by prioritizing |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | innovative approaches to customer service, sustainability, and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | operating efficiency, and by collaborating with communities to |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | maximize the economic benefits of aviation in the region; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, In 2018, the North Texas hub earned carbon neutral |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | accreditation for the third consecutive year, completed a |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | $2 billion terminal renovation project, and announced flights to |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | new domestic and international destinations; the airport also |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | introduced new technologies in terminals that greatly improved |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | customer experience; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, The Global Airport of the Year award is a credit |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | to the many individuals who are committed to providing excellent |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | passenger service, and all those associated with the DFW |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | International Airport are truly deserving of recognition; now, |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | therefore, be it |

| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Legislature, hereby commend the executives, management, and all |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | employees of the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport and |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | extend congratulations to them on the airport's selection as the |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | 2019 Global Airport of the Year; and, be it further |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |

| 33 | 33 | | the airport as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. |
