| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Leadership Frisco and class participants on the |

| 4 | 4 | | occasion of Leadership Frisco Class Day at the Capitol on |

| 5 | 5 | | February 19, 2019; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Leadership Frisco is a nine-month community |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | leadership program sponsored by the Frisco Chamber of Commerce to |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | help develop a pool of qualified, motivated individuals who are |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | interested in expanding their leadership skills; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Members of the class meet for a full day each |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | month to explore the inner workings of Frisco's government and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | to gain an in-depth understanding of the city's educational |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | system, economic development, leisure and culture, service |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | organizations, health services, and public safety; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Class graduates learn how to positively affect |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | their community while expanding their leadership skills and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | deepening their sense of civic responsibility; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Leadership Frisco is helping to build a brighter |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | and more promising future for the Lone Star State by endeavoring |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | to build a more informed and involved citizenry; now, therefore, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | be it |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, hereby welcome members of Leadership Frisco to the |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | State Capitol and extend to all class participants sincere best |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |

| 27 | 27 | | Leadership Frisco as an expression of high regard from the |
