55 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
66 commemorates the life of Ryan Keith Wallace, who died
77 December 5, 2018, at the age of 27; and
88 WHEREAS, Ryan Wallace was born on October 24, 1991, in
99 Lubbock, to Ronnie and Connie Wallace; he grew up in Seminole
1010 with his brother, Kevin, and graduated from Seminole High School;
1111 he and his beloved wife, Kyrie Cameron Wallace, were married on
1212 August 18, 2018; and
1313 WHEREAS, Ryan earned a degree from The University of Texas
1414 at Austin, where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity and the
1515 Silver Spurs; passionate about politics, he was active in student
1616 government and served as director of the State Relations agency;
1717 he also worked in the office of State Senator Charles Perry
1818 during his time in Austin; and
1919 WHEREAS, Mr. Wallace was a summa cum laude graduate of the
2020 South Texas College of Law, where he received various accolades
2121 for his work; he was inducted into the National Order of Scribes
2222 and the Order of Barristers, and he earned numerous honors for
2323 Best Brief at college and bar association competitions across the
2424 country; and
2525 WHEREAS, Upon his graduation, he accepted a position as an
2626 associate with the firm of Hunton Andrews Kurth in the Capital
2727 Markets Section, and he practiced law in the areas of capital
2828 markets and securities, corporate mergers and acquisitions, and
2929 corporate governance and compliance; and
3030 WHEREAS, He was a young man of courage, strength, and
3131 generosity who gave unselfishly to others, and his valued counsel
3232 and his enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest will not be
3333 forgotten; and
3434 WHEREAS, He was a devoted husband, son, brother, and
3535 grandson, and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured
3636 forever by his family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
3737 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th
3838 Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
3939 family of Ryan Keith Wallace; and, be it further
4040 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
4141 his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
4242 Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
4343 memory of Ryan Wallace.
