| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Golden Soror Louella Joyce Gill Anderson, a 50-year |

| 4 | 4 | | member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, who is being |

| 5 | 5 | | honored by Omicron Mu Omega Chapter at its 2019 Founders' Day |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | Luncheon; and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | WHEREAS, Omicron Mu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha |

| 8 | 8 | | Sorority was conceived in October of 1983 by five sorors who met |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | to discuss the formation of a second graduate chapter in the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Dallas area; after much dedicated effort, the chapter was |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | established on June 23, 1984; it has an illustrious history of |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | service and community work, and it annually recognizes |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | long-standing sorority members at its Founders' Day |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Luncheon; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Louella Joyce Gill Anderson was inducted into Phi |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority in 1968; over the years, |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | she has remained a loyal member of the sorority and has served as |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | a mentor and role model to countless sisters; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Louella Anderson is truly deserving of |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | recognition for her longtime membership in and service to Alpha |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Kappa Alpha Sorority and for the important role she has played in |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | helping to encourage leadership, scholarship, personal |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | development, and community service through the programs of |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Omicron Mu Omega Chapter; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Legislature, hereby commend Golden Soror Louella Joyce Gill |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Anderson on her dedicated service and her many achievements and |

| 28 | 28 | | extend to her congratulations on being honored by Omicron Mu |

| 29 | 29 | | Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority at its 2019 Founders' |
