| 4 | 4 | | celebration of Frisco ISD Day at the State Capitol; and |

| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, One of the fastest-growing school districts in |

| 6 | 6 | | the country, Frisco Independent School District serves more than |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | 60,000 students in 42 elementary schools, 17 middle schools, 10 |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | high schools, and 3 special programs centers; each year, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | thousands of families choose to call Frisco home due to the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | district's outstanding reputation for academic excellence, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | innovative courses, and wealth of extracurricular opportunities |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | and experiences; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Despite the explosive growth the district has |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | experienced over the past three decades, it remains committed to |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | its mission to know every student by name and need, providing |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | small, personalized learning environments and a student-to-teacher |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | ratio lower than the national average; more than 7,000 faculty |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | and staff members work tirelessly each day to prepare the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | district's students for the challenges and opportunities that |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | lie ahead; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Today the district's four-year graduation rate is |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | an impressive 98.6 percent, and it has won a host of accolades, |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | including the Texas Honors Circle Award, the College Board AP |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | District Honor Roll, and the Platinum Leadership Circle Award |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | from the Texas Comptroller's Office; furthermore, the district |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | has contributed significantly to the exceptional quality of life |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | in Frisco, which was named the Best Place to Live in America by |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Money magazine in 2018; and |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Committed to effectively serving the needs of |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | students, the outstanding teachers, administrators, and staff of |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | Frisco Independent School District are helping area youth |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | succeed academically and reach their full potential, and it is |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | truly fitting to recognize the immense impact these public |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | servants are making on their community and the State of Texas; |
|---|

| 36 | 36 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
