| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The tragic passing of Kyrell McBride Johnson on |

| 6 | 6 | | August 22, 2018, at the age of 13, brought a devastating loss to |

| 7 | 7 | | the family and many friends of this beloved young man; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Kyrell McBride Johnson was born on March 9, 2005, |

| 9 | 9 | | to Monica Debbs and David Demerson, and his treasured family |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | included his eight sisters and five brothers; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Kyrell excelled in athletics from an early age; he |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | had recently transferred from T. A. Howard Middle School to |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Summer Creek Middle School for his eighth grade year, and he had |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | been practicing to play for the Summer Creek football team; |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | outgoing and high-spirited, he readily made a host of friends |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | among his new classmates at Summer Creek; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Although the sudden loss of one so young and full |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | of promise is immeasurably painful, Kyrell McBride Johnson has |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | left behind countless people who loved and cherished him, and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | they will forever keep his memory alive in their hearts; now, |

| 21 | 21 | | therefore, be it |

| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |

| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the life of Kyrell McBride |

| 25 | 25 | | family: to his mother, Monica Debbs, and her husband, Robert; to |
