| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Sharon Young for 45 years of exceptional service with |

| 4 | 4 | | the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw Independent School District; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Sharon Young joined the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | Independent School District in 1968; she spent the entirety of |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | her distinguished career as an educator at Boswell High School, |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | where she taught business and career preparation classes; she |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | retired in 2013; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Young's students benefited greatly from her |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | skillful teaching methods, her sincere concern for the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | individual, and her wise counsel and encouragement; her |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | pragmatic approach to teaching and her expertise in her field |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | helped prepare her students for success both in the business |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | world and in life; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Known for her enthusiastic school spirit, |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Mrs. Young assisted with a wide variety of student activities |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | through the years; she also served on the Fort Worth High School |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Scholarship Awards Committee for Remington College and was |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | instrumental in awarding thousands of dollars in scholarships to |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | graduates wishing to pursue business careers; she worked with |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | businesses throughout the area to help place her students in jobs |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | through the school's work-study program; in addition, she served |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | for more than 20 years as a sponsor of the Business Professionals |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | of America; and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, A dedicated and resourceful educator, Sharon |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Young had a profound impact on the lives of countless students |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | and fellow teachers, and it is truly fitting that she receive |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | special recognition; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | Legislature, hereby commend Sharon Young on her outstanding |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | career as a teacher with the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw Independent |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | School District and extend to her best wishes for continued |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | success in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
