| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Mae Taylor White, who recently celebrated her 103rd |

| 4 | 4 | | birthday; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, A woman of great charm and grace, Mae Taylor White |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | is well known for her generous spirit, and she is a revered |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | citizen who enjoys a simple life and conversing with friends; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, She was born on December 11, 1915, in Eastland, to |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Jesse and Edna Taylor; she and her beloved husband, the late |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | William Edgar White, married on July 12, 1947, and they were |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | blessed with two children, Richard Scott and William Kent White; |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | her four grandchildren are a source of much pride and joy for |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | her; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, She served for a time with the Odessa school |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | district before working with her husband in his construction |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | contracting business and in their art supply and frame shop; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Mae White has lived through times and experienced |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | events that many people only know from history books, and there |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | is much that can be learned from the insights she has gained over |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | the years; she is noted for her warmth, wit, and wise counsel, and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | her enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest is a source of |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | inspiration to others; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Legislature, hereby pay tribute to Mae Taylor White and extend to |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | her best wishes in honor of her recent 103rd birthday; and, be |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | it further |

| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
