| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, Members of the Superintendent's Student Advisory |

| 3 | 3 | | Council from the Frisco Independent School District are visiting |

| 4 | 4 | | the State Capitol on March 19, 2019; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The council was established by former Frisco |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | Independent School District superintendent Dr. Rick Reedy during |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | the 2005-2006 school year to provide students with a voice in the |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | operation of the district; members of the group are selected by |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | the principals of each district high school, providing |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | well-rounded representation of the district's high school |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | student body; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Among its many accomplishments, the 2018-2019 |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | advisory council has been instrumental in helping to develop a |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | new policy related to student grade point averages in the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | district; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Superintendent's Student |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Advisory Council have demonstrated initiative, dedication, and a |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | commitment to making Frisco Independent School District the best |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | it can be, and they are setting an outstanding example for their |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | peers; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Legislature, hereby recognize the members of the Superintendent's |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Student Advisory Council from the Frisco Independent School |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | District on the occasion of their visit to the State Capitol and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | extend to them sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be |
