| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Stetson Walker on the occasion of the release of his |

| 4 | 4 | | debut album, Let Me Introduce You; and |

| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Stetson Walker is a 9th-generation Texan whose |

| 6 | 6 | | family includes musicians who have played with such legends as |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Elvis Presley and George Jones and have appeared on renowned |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | programs like the Louisiana Hayride and the Grand Ole Opry; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Stetson began performing at the age of 11, and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | several years later, he was appearing at such venues as the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Austin Music Hall with musicians like Tracy Byrd and Mark |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Chestnut; he has been influenced by a wide range of country |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | and bluegrass artists, including Glen Campbell, Merle |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Haggard, Johnny Cash, Steve Wariner, Waylon Jennings, and Willie |

| 15 | 15 | | Nelson; and |

| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, His debut album, Let Me Introduce You, offers |

| 17 | 17 | | songs by some of country music's leading songwriters and features |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | an array of highly acclaimed musicians; it was named Album of the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Month by Country Music People Magazine, and its first single, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | "Say Hello to Goodbye," rose to number 25 on the country music |

| 21 | 21 | | charts; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Blessed with a rich baritone voice and the ability |

| 23 | 23 | | to play multiple instruments, Stetson Walker is a rising star |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | whose hard work and dedication to his craft have resulted in a |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | stellar debut album, and it is truly fitting that he receive |

| 26 | 26 | | special recognition; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |

| 28 | 28 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate Stetson Walker on the release |
