| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Dillon Kennedy on the auspicious occasion of his |
|---|
| 4 | 4 | | graduation from Columbia College Chicago; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Dillon Kennedy is an exemplary young man who has |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | demonstrated leadership and a commitment to serving others |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | throughout his life; he has volunteered more than 1,100 hours to |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | such community service projects as feeding the homeless, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | providing Christmas gifts for needy children, and visiting |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | hospitals and senior centers; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Dillon is one of the select few to have earned the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | coveted rank of Eagle Scout, which requires a public service |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | project; to receive this honor, he organized an organ and blood |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | marrow donation drive during which he educated thousands and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | registered 70 people as organ and blood marrow donors; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, During his collegiate career, he was a member of |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and he was named a |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | United States Congressional Leadership Scholar; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, A high achiever, Dillon establishes and pursues |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | his goals with perseverance and a clear vision of the future; his |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | notable accomplishments in school bear witness to his dedication |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | and outstanding abilities; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Legislature, hereby commend Dillon Kennedy on the occasion of |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | his graduation from Columbia College Chicago and extend to him |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | best wishes for continued success in all his endeavors; and, be |
