| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, Members of Texas Realtors, the statewide |

| 3 | 3 | | association of real estate professionals, are celebrating |

| 4 | 4 | | Texas Realtors Day at the State Capitol on March 26, 2019; and |

| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Texas Realtors was founded in 1920 as the Texas |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | Association of Real Estate Boards, and the original 89 attendees |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | at the first convention came together with the shared goal of |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | protecting real estate customers at the local, state, and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | national levels; the association remains committed to that goal |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | today; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, In the years since, Texas Realtors has grown into |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | one of the largest professional associations in the Lone Star |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | State, with more than 125,000 members engaged in every aspect of |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | real estate, including farm and ranch property, property |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | management, and international, residential, and commercial real |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | estate; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Members of the organization reflect the state's |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | diverse population and geography and pledge to abide by a code of |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | ethics in their dealings with clients, in their duties to the |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | public, and in their relationships with fellow real estate |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | professionals; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, For 100 years, Texas Realtors has been an |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | effective advocate for real estate customers and professionals, |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | and the association's members may take great pride in the |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | achievements of an organization that is approaching its |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | centennial; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Legislature, hereby recognize March 26, 2019, as Texas Realtors |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Day at the State Capitol and extend to the association's members |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |

| 31 | 31 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be |
